City Economic Zone opened in Narayanganj

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated City Economic Zone in Narayanganj through a video conference from Gonobhaban on Wednesday. City Economic Zone has been built by City Group.

Seven industries are located inside this economic zone which include City Auto Rice and Lentil Mill, City Edible Oil, Rupashi Sugar Mill, Rupashi Flower Mill, Rupashi Feed Mill and City Seed Crushing.

City Group's Chairman Fazlur Rahman told journalists that the City Economic Zone has been constructed at a cost of 5, 000 crore taka. Eight thousand people have been employed in this economic zone.

Another 15, 000 crore taka will be invested there and another twenty thousand people will find jobs in these industries, Fazlur Rahman stated. Local political leaders and administrative officials were present at that time.
